TO-DAY’S RECIPE
CREAM SCONES, Ingredients: 2 cups flour, 2 teaspoonfuls baking powder, 2 tablespoonfuls sugar, 1 tablespoonful butter, 1 egg, } teaspoonful salt, J cup milk, J cup cream. Method: Put the baking powder and salt into the flour and rub in the butter, add the sugar. Beat the egg well and add to it the milk and cream and mix into the dry ingredients. The dough must not be too wet. Place the dough in pieces on a floured slide and cook in a hot oven for 10 or 15 minutes.
