| President’s Annual Report CLUB’S BEST YEAR The following report for presentation at the annual meeting of the Hastings H. 5.0.8. Cricket Club tonight has been prepared by the president, Mr. N. Fippard:— “Whilst we did not enjoy the same success, as far as match-winning was concerned, as in the previous year, nevertheless the teams thoroughly enjoyed their report. The seniors finished fourth in their grade, but much is expected oi our young players in the coming season. The juniors occupied third position in their competition. “Two members of the senior team gained representative honours, Mr. B. Weymouth bowling very well in the Easter game against the Wellington Colts, taking five wickets for 59 in an innings of over 30U, and also making some valuable runs when they were most required. Our juniors were also well represented in the Easter representative matches. “The batting honours lor the club ■vent to Messrs E. Apsey ami B. Weymouth, whilst Messrs T. Rosenberg and B. Weymouth were the most successful bowlers. The finance of the club is on a sound basis, the accounts presented to you showing a surplus with which to start the season. “In conclusion, I would like to congratulate the teams on the tine spirit shown last season, an<| I trust that the same co-operation will be evident in the coining year. The success of a club is dependent in the enjoyment of thn members, and in this respect the 1933-193-1 season must be considered the most successful the club lias yet experienced.”
