Visitor to New Zealand

An expert on the technology of textiles, Dr. Thomas Oliver, D.CS., B.Ss., who has earned world recognition for his contributions to the science of the industry, arrived in Wellington by the Tainui to-day from Southampton. Dr. Oliver, who is making his first visit to New Zealand, proposes to undertake a tour of the country to inspect as many as possible of the Dominion’s woollen mills and to learn more of New Zealand’s wool production.

He hopes also to renew acquaintance with many former scholars of his college, the Scottish Woollen Technical College, which has achieved world fame iu woollen manufacturing circles.
