Decrease On Last Year By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, September IS. The Unemployment Board's latest return of the numbers receiving assist anco from the unemployment fund at September reveals an increase of 561 in the total assisted as compared with the total for the previous month. There is, however, a substantial decrease of 11,098 when the present total of 63,012 is compared with the corresponding total at September 2, 1933. The figure of 63,012 recorded in the present return is made up as follows:— 33,167 receiving part-time relief under scheme No 5; 5748 receiving sustenance without work: 24.097 workers engaged in industrial undertakings with assistance by *ray u’ subsidy.
