PRINCESS MARINA
A HIGHLAND WELCOME Arrival at Balmoral EXCHANGE OF GREETINGS (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received 18, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, Sept, 17. A small Girl Guide, after waiting an hour to see Princess Marina arrive at Victoria Station, was given permission to present her with a bouquet, and was rewarded with a charming smile. The Girl Guide was Helen Stamataki. The Princess’s car had started, but Prince George called it to halt in order to receive the bouquet, which was from tho Greek colony in London. His Majesty the King assisted Princess Marina from the car at Balmoral, after which Their Majesties, Princess Marina and her parents and Prince George exchanged their first private greetings in the Castle hall. His Majesty led Princess Marina by hand round the grounds. Six of His Majesty’s pipers encircled them and played 1 a wild highland welcome.
Their Majesties and Princess Marina’s parents discussed the date and arrangements for tho wedding, while Prince George drove Princess Marina over the highland hills.
