ENJOYABLE BOY SCOOT CONCERT

From Our Own Correspondent. ESKDALE, Sept. 14. Recently the Esk troop of Boy Scouts gave a concert in local hall, commencing with “Dominion Haka” by .the troop and followed by the singing ot “Clementine”. “Living Statuary” by three of the troop was well done, also the “Shadow Show” by tlio troop. Songs were rendered by Scoutmasters A. Absolum and R. Absoluiu, Allen and tho Rev. C. Hyde. A hiking song was given by Rovers and Rangers. The performance concluded with an ancient English sword dance. After supper dancing was enjoyed to Messrs Williams. Isitt and McCormick’s orchestra. Air A. Absolum acting as M.C. Very successful was tho Eskview Football Club’s annual ball held on Wednesday evening. The hall was gaily decorated with greenery and streamers, with two goal posts bearing the club’s colours cerise and blue. Excellent music was supplied by Simpson’s Collegians orchestra with extras hy Mrs Nichol and .Mr Stevenson. Messrs Patterson and J. Tait carried out duties of M.C.e.
