PRESS NOT WANTED

Miss Hackett Object:

(Received 5, 10.30 a.m.)

ADELAIDE, Sept. M.

Miss Patricia Hackett has written to the “Adelaide Advertiser” stating that in future no representative of that journal will be admitted to performances in the Torch Theatre, at which Miss Hackett’s plays are produced.

Miss Patricia-Hackett, objecting to newspaper criticism of her theatrical production ““Caprice,” went to Parliament House in search of a reportercritic and threw a bottle of ink at him. She was later fined for unlawful assault and also apologised to the Legislative Council.
