NEW CUNARD LINER
Suggested Empire Tour
A resolution suggesting that the first voyage of the new Cunard liner, No. 531, should be an Empire tour, was passed by the Memorable Order of Tin Hats, the largest ex-servicemcn's organisation in South Africa. The resolution' has been forwarded Io the President of flic Board of Trade, Mr. Walter Runciman. It is suggested that the vessel should carry a trade exhibition, tourists, and business men, and that a shopping gala should be held at each port of call. The resolution draws attention to the success of foreign trade missions and such exploits as that of the Graf Zeppelin, the giant German airship, which made flights to South America.
