Escort Awaited from N.Z.

MELBOURNE, September 13.

Charged with having defrauded certain persons in New Zealand of £14,000, Charles Ernest Vickers, company manager, was remanded until an escort arrives from New Zealand.

The police informed the Court that Vickers was arrested as he was about to sail for Singapore. He was granted bail conditional upon reporting to the detective office daily until the escort arrives.
