AMERICA CUP RACE

The Final Look Over CONTEST ON SATURDAY Little to Choose Between Yachts By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received 14, 11.30 a.m.) BRISTOL (Rhode Island), Sept. 13. Mr. T. 0. M. Sopwith’s Endeavour and Mr. Harold Vanderbilt’s Rainbow were given a final grooming to-day preparatory to the opening of the contest for the America Cup on Saturday. The consensus of lay opinion is that there will be little to choose between the two yachts, with the palm for beauty and unity of design going to the Endeavour.

Asked to comment on the London cables questioning the Rainbow’s adherence to the rules governing construction Mr. Sopwith said: “I intend to abide by the New York Yacht Club rules. I have no protest.”
