BUSINESSMEN’S LUNCHEON ADDRESS ON NAVY LEAGUE, From Our Own Correspondent. WAIF UK LKA (J, September' 13. There was a good attendance ol members at the Waipukurau Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon club to-day, when an address on the Navy League, and Empire Trade, was delivered by Air R. Darroch, honorary secretary oi the Navy League, Wellington. Air A. C. Holms briefly introduced the speaker, who was also accorded a welcome by ilis Worship the Mayor, Air I. W. N. Mackie. At the conclusion of his address, Air Darroch was, on the motion of Air J, Huntley Walker, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, accorded a very hearty vote of thanks lor his able and extremely interesting address. “What is wanted to-day is a proper understanding between the manufacturer and the farmer, with the idea of their working together for their mutual benefit,” said Mr R. Darroch in his address to the Waipukurau Chamber of Commerce to-day. "There is nothing that will keep trade more alive than money, because trade is money,’’ said Air R. Darroch during the course of his address today to the members of the Waipukurau Chamber of Commerce luncheon club. GOLF DRAW FOR SATURDAY.
