NAPIER DX CLUB

AN INTERESTING MEETING. Despite the inclement weather on Tuesday evening a largo number of members attended the fortnightly meeting of the Napier DX Club at the club-rooms in Herd’s Building, Carlyle street. After the usual business was concluded, Air A. Pink was accorded thanks lor the handsome tea nrn which he personally made and presented to the club. Remarkably keen interest in DXing was mamlcst by the large number of loggings submitted by new members, and several forthcoming broadcasts for New Zealand listeners were announced. The library committee reported several donations of radio books and magazines, and the donors were heartily thanked. The room furnishings are nearly complete, and many favourable comments were passed upon their convenience and comlort. Mr Leonard Bell gave a very fine lecturette on the various abbreviations of DX symbols. With a fund of humour, he enlarged on the various points end gave those present something to think about. For the next meeting Air. lan F. Baird will give n talk.
