Turner and Pangborn, testing the air mail aeroplane they are using in tho Centenary race, flew non-stop from Seattle to Los Angeles, 1180 miles, at an average speed of 20-1 miles an hour in five hours 20 minutes.
They will attempt a trans-oontlnen-tal flight to lower the existing record.
