Federation Conference WORLD PLANNING NEEDED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. 12. The New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation conference was opened today formally by Mr. W. J. Polson. M.P., president of tho N.Z. Farmers’ Union. Addresses were also given bv Messrs. K. .T. TTnlvoake and Mr. H. M. Campbell. M.P.’s The president of the federation, Mr. T. C. Brnsh. who presided, said that the present times were difficult because of lack of co-ordination between individuals and between natiAus. Mr. Brash said the financial position of the federation was steadilv improving. Adequate provision had been rm do for bad and doubtful debts, and the directors had decided to transfer to the credit of growers in the rebate account 50 per cent, of the not proflt.
