Miss Gaisford Loses Final MRS. ROBINSON SUPERB By Telegraph—Press assn.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, September 11. In the final of the Associates’ Australian golf title Mrs Robinson defeated Miss Gaisford four up and three to play. Finishing the- morning round all square with the New Zealand star, Miss Gaisford, Mrs Robinson played superbly jn the afternoon and at the thirty-first had a commanding lead of four up. Ideal weather favoured the match, which was witnessed by’ about 15UU. Miss Gaisford played faultlessly prior to going to lunch, but during the afternoon she had the misfortune on a number of occasions either to land m rain-filled bunkers or to lip holes and, Mrs Robinson’s play being of such high standard, Miss Gaisford could not afford to make slips. Miss Gaisford consistently outdrove her opponent and both played their seconds aud approaches beautifully. Mrs Robinson, however, had frequent putting advantages on the greens.
