TWICE CAST UP BY THE SEA.—The carcass of the large whale which was struck by a ferry steamer in Sydney Harbour recently was afterwards towed five miles out to sea. Last Tuesday a Press Association cablegram was received from Sydney stating that the carcass had drifted back to the rocks at Sydney Heads. It was then towed fourteen miles out, but again drifted ashore at Botany Bay. "We will get rid of it this time," said a Harbour Trust official, "if we have to take it to New Zealand.”
