WRESTLING
Detton Defeats Browning
By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, September 10.
Bright wrestling was seen when Dean Detton, of America, defeated Walter Browning, of Auckland, by one fall secured in the seventh round with a press and armbar following a flying tackle.
Browning had previously injured hi» neck against tha ropes when he dived at his opponent, who side stepped. Thei Aucklander had a big section of the large crowd behind him, and he gave an impressive display. He lacked the science of his opponent, however, and it was Browning’s two-stone advantage in weight that troubled Detton most on occasions.
