MISS BATTEN ILL
Suffering from Severe Cold By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 10. Miss Jean Batten, who is at present in Wellington, has been confined .to bed for the last three days with a isevero cold. She will leave for Auckland on Friday to visit her parents. Miss Batten will return to Welling ton on September 18 to connect with the Maunganui for Sydney. Sim proposes to stay in Australia for the finish of the centenary air race, and. will probably return to New Zealand after the race. Miss Batten will take her aeroplane with her.
