Government Congratulated A resolution conveying congratulations to the Government on its promptitude in acting upon the recommendations made in the interim report of the commission which is inquiring •nto the Companies Act was passed by the Hastings Chamber of Commerce last evening on the motion of Mr Cecil Duff. “We are often critical of the Government,’’ said Mr Duff, “and I think that when it does anything that deserves to be commended, we ought to take notice of it.”
