Monthly Meeting Held competition" awards At the monthly meeting of the Womens Division of the Farmers' Union, Mrs Joll presided over a large gathering ot old and new members. Alter the Women’s Creed had been recited a vote of condolence was passed to Mrs Roach and family in tho death ol Mr G. F. Roach. It was announced that Mrs Harris would be coming to Hustings shortly to lecture oil pig breeding, and it was decided to hold a social to welcome licr and hear her lecture. A letter was received from Mrs Sunderland, thanking the Division for the lovely box of knitted baby wear sent to tiie Plunket Society. Ah’s Honeybun gave ah interesting report of the recent provincial executive meeting. Airs H. Fulford was thanked for the gilt of a lovely pottery vase for the use of the Division. The competitions for the month were confined to junior members, and Mrs Harris, who kindly judged tho exhibits, made the following awards: — Best plain oven scones. Miss Freda Miller I, Miss 1. Joll 2, Miss Al. Neilsen 3. Miss Millar also gained first award in the best worked handkerchief, tho exhibit being of outstanding quality for a junior member. Mi's Goldfinch gave a demonstration on making a wool rug from old unravelled wool. It was decided to hold a dance on Tuesday evening in tho Town Board Hall, Havelock North, in aid of Division funds. A good time is assured all those who attend. There will be a card tournament for non-dancers, and with good nmsic and a programme of modern and old-time dancing, Monte Carlo and other novelty dances, a good evening's entertainment is assured. Tho Division members are making this dance a special effort as funds are badly needed to carry on the work of the Division, and all members are asked to help in any way possible.

The hostesses for tho afternoon were Mrs Tomlinson, Mrs Harris and Miss Myrtle Joll. whto served a delicious afternoon tea.
