FALL DOWN STAIRCASE

Woman Locked in Shop SYDNEY, August 20. Mrs Stella Harrison, aged 35, the wife of the manager of a city hotel, met a tragic death during the weekend, being accidently locked in Anthony Hordern’s department store on Saturday after buying a hat. Her body was found to-day in the basement with the skull and neck fractured. She apparently had fallen down the staircase in the darkness whilb trying to find a method of attracting attention. There were many evidences of her 11 ntic but futile efforts to prise open the fireproof doors of the huge building, in which event she would have caused the fire alarm to ring. She also threw a small step-ladder through a window, without avail. Her husband, to whom she was married only last year, reported her missing on Saturday afternoon.
