Noisy Motor-Cycle

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Now that the annual meeting of ffte North Island Motor Union is discussing matters in Napier, it is to be hoped that some definite decision will bo arrived at to wipe out for all time that pest of the road—the open exhaust motor-cyclist. The mere existence of an exhaust cut-out on a machine is a breach of the regulations, apart from actual employment of the device.

Napief, some monfiis ago, through the columns of the Press, notified that prompt measures would be taken against noisy motor cyclists. I fail as yet to read of any action being taken. I think it will be a dead heat between tho traffic inspectors of Hastings and Napier as to who will capture the first road hog.— Yours, etc., THE DOVER ROAD. Hastings, Aug. 19.
