The Hastings Chamber of Commerce meets tonight at 8 o’clock. Notice is given that the Antique Imbibition Art Union of two oil painlin :- is closed, and will be drawn under police supervision in the Regent Theatre, Hastings, at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22. A special meeting of tho Hastings branch of the Labour Party will be held in the Trades Hall on Tuesday, August 21. at 8 p.m., to consider ways and means ot re ising election campaign funds. A lei-ture oill bo given in St. Andren's schoolroom. Market streel. Hastings tonight (Monday, at. 8 o'clock by the Rev. .1. S. Pate. His subject will ba: “Main and Branch Lines of History. Prophecy and Fulfilment.” Over 350 people heard this lecture at. the Opera House. Masterton. Those who had tho privilege of hearing the Rev. Its.v Dudley- in the Hastings Methodist ('hiiri-h yesterday, will be pleased to know that he speaks again this evening at 7.30 in the same church. From 7.15 there will be community singing of well-known hymn-. All should attend this meeting.
