Four Film Stars Named

A message from Sacramento states that prosecuting officials investigating alleged Communistic activities in Hollywood, mime lour motion-picture players as contributors to that cause —Lupe Velez, Dolores del Rio. Ramon Navarro

and James Cagney. Johnny Weismuller, the husband of Lupe Velez, declared: “Lupe doesn’t even know the meaning of the word ’’ Cagney denied the statements categorically, while the others have not commented.

Friends declared that over a year ago Cagney contributed to the relief of striking agricultural workers, in which Communist leaders were involved, which Las probably resulted in linking his name with tho movement.
