Detectives’ Visit to Shop (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 18. Mrs Edeline Florence Grimwood, aged 39, was charged before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., with carrying on tbe business of bookmaker and was fined £l5 and costs. The police said that detectives visited the accused’s shop in Oxford Terrace ns a result of complaints and found a quantity of betting material. The bets were small and it seemed that the accused had been working as an agent. She said she had been ill and took up bookmaking l<> supplement Iler income.
