GIANT PROPELLER

Cunarder’s Fourth Arrives British Official Wireless Service. RUGBY, August 17 The new Cunard liner’s fourth propeller, which weighs 35 tons and could not, owing to its size, be conveyed from the manufacturers’ works to the Clyde by road or rail, was removed last night. The propeller was carried to the docks on an eight-wheeled, rubbertyred, 45-ton lorry, the driver being provided with a special police order permitting the use of the highways for the purpose between midnight and 6 a.m.
