Several fire brigade machines turned out promptly to a. blaze in a twostorey wooden building in Tory street, Wellington, at 1-30 this morning, and though tho flames had a. good hold they were soon quenched. The building is owned by Mr. .J. Stellin and occupied by Air. T. K .Garratt, printer, whose stock was damaged principally by smoke, and Mr. R. Byfield, battery manufacturing plant, whoso equipment and stock were badly damaged —Press Assn.
