FASHION NOTES

Some people are under the impression that knitted suits are rather clumsy. But those shown recently were extraordinarily smart. Brown and yellow made one attractive colour scheme. The jumper buttoned up the front with wooden fastenings could be worn open or closed. Bows tied at the neck aro greatly in tavour at the moment, but it is unusual to see them very small. With a grey coat and skirt in fine spun jersey was a striped blouse. At the fastening of the shirt collar was a tiny bow tie of the grey material. With a coat in creamy coloured towelling was worn a diagonally striped lumper. It was sleeveless and the basque at the bottom was tied at the left of the waist. Two different blues were shown together in a coat, skirt and jumper model. Worn over a white skirt was a light blue jumper. This was covered by a short-sleeved coat of navy blue.
