WELLINGTON, August 1 The desirability of restoring the automatic telephone exchange system at Napier as early as possible is fully appreciated, and it is intended as soon as circumstances permit to proceed with the erection of an exchange building, stated the Postmaster-General, the Hon. A. Hamilton, in the House of Representatives to-day in reply to a question addressed ( to him by Mr W. E. Barnard (Labour —Napier).
