TAKAPUNA CLUB
Negotiations With Auckland (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. July 31. Further overtures by the Takapuua Jockey Club to hold its future meetings at Ellerslie were considered by the committee of the Auckland Racing Club at a special meeting. The matter will be the subject of further negotiations. It is understood the Takapuna chib is applying for permission to race at Ellerslie until its liabilities are liquidated, its permits for four days' racing a year to lie taken over by the Auckland Racing Club at the end of that time. Similar arrangements were made a year or two ago by the Te Kuiti Racing Club, whereby it holds meetings at To Rapa until its debts are extinguished, and it will then be absorbed by the Waikato Racing Club.
