Assembly Hall for High School

(’To the Editor.) Sir.—Having watched the gradual expansion of Hastings from the first stage of a small village to that of an important town, J have noted the solid progress that has been achived year by year, all of which has been lor the future benefit of Hastings. I have viewed with pride the many advantages and attractions which our embryo city possesses, but the height of my ambition has been achieved by the far seeing and generous' action ol the Hastings Borough Council in making it possible for the High School to acquire the King’s Theatre for an Assembly Hall. This act is endorsed by the bona fide ratepayers —I am etc., PROGRESS. Hastings, 1/8/34.
