Manchester Unity Oddfellows meet at the Oddfellows’ Hall, Market street, Hastings, on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. The H.B. hounds will meet on Wednesday at Mr H. Simmonds’ Waitangi plantation, Mangatahi, at 12 .noon. The Hastings High School! Old Boys’ Football Club will hold their annual ball next Thursday night. The Bayitcs Boys’ Club will meet in the Drill Hall at 7.30 o’clock to-night, and not to-morrow evening. Members are asked to bring mugs for the issue of hot cocoa Skating enthusiasts are requested to note that a special late session will be held at the St. George Rink, Hastings, on Wednesday evening, when the Maori orchestra of seven instruments will be introduced. The Liberty League, a eague for the protection of life, liberty and property, willl hold a public meeting in the Favourite Hull, Hastings, at 7.30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, to discuss presentday problems. A general meeting of members of the Y.M.C'.A. of Hastings will be held at 106W Lyndon road (next I’rcsbytei'ial Church), Hastings, on Tuesday (June 26) at 1 p.m. to elect a board of directors ami attend to general business. The outstanding Yorkshire preacher, the Rev. Raymond Preston, will deliver his lecture-recital on ‘‘Modern Miracles” in the Hastings Methodist Church to-morrow (Tuesday) evening at 7.30. Mr Preston will also render a solo in Welsh. A collection will hr taken up tor local church work,
