PIGEON RACING
HASTINGS HOMING CLUB, The ab<a e club flew their final young bird races, three in number, from Petone. The three liberations were made by Mr. J. L. Bolton, of Petone, the birds on each occasion having fine weather and light head winds on the home journey. The races resulted as below:— FLOCK RACE. Mr. W. Walls’s 8.C.C., “343.” 1159.9 yards per min 1 Mr. W. Walls’s White H., “344,” 1159.1 yards per min. 3 Mr. W. "Walls’s 8.0. C., “193,” 1158.2 yards per min 3 Mr. C. Martin’s R.C.P.C., “357,” 1149.6 yards per min 4 Mr. C. Martin’s 8.C.C., “8,” 1148.7 yards per min 5 Mr. C. Martin’s B.C.H.j “10,” 1147.8 yards per min 6 DERBY RACE. Mr. C. Martin's R.C.P.C., “Gay Spark,” 1149.6 yards per min. ... 1 Mr. P. Percy’s 8.C., “357,” 1132.7 yards per min 2 Mr. C. Martin’s 8.C.H., “356,” 1121.4 yards per min 3 INTERVAL RACE. Mr. W. Walls’s 8.C.H., “189,” 850.7 yards per min ' 1 Mr. C. Martin’s R.C.P.C., “2,” 658.4 yards per min 2 Mr. C. Martin’s 8.C.H., “7,” 632.8 yards per min 3 Aggregate points for young bird cup: Mr. W. Walls 47 points, Mr. C. Martin 26 points, Mr. P. Percy 16 points, Mr. L_ Harrison 13 points, Mr. M. A. Bell 1 point, Mr. W. Wilkins 0.
