TURF CRICKET CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING HELD. At the annual meeting of the Tun Cricket Club, the report and balancesheet showed that the club had had a very successful season. Out oi 22 games played, the club won 16, drew one, and lost five. A vote of thanks was passed to the Mangatainoka team for their visit, and it was decided to pay a return visit to the “land of the tui” next season. Members expressed pleasure at the enthusiasm shown in practice and matches, and various plans were discussed for the arrangement oi matches next season. A dance held in the racecourse kiosk proved a very pleasurable fixture, and it was decided to hold another dance on May 7. The ladies were specially thanked for their contribution to the decorations, and for trie trouble they had been put to in providing the supper. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of tbankg to the secretary and treasurer.
