CROQUET CLUB ACTIVITIES WAIPAWA MEMBERS' VISIT. From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, May 2. Although the Waipukurau Croquet Club’s season closed last week, the members decided they would like to entertain the members of the Waipawa club before putting their mallets away for the season. A special "all day’’ was hold, therefore, on the croquet greens yesterday, when there was a large attendance of members and their friends and a number of visitors from the Waipawa Club present. Various competitions had been arranged and were keenly contested. Luncheon and afternoon-tea were served in the clubhouse, and altogether the day proved to be a most enjoyable one. At the conclusion of the day’s play, in the absence of the president (Mrs J. Bendeich), the captain, Mrs T. Given, presented the trophies won during the day as follow:—Robbers, Mesdames Dunlop and R. Cook; ladder, Mrs H. D. Limbrick (Waipawa); hoop and peg, Mrs Lamont; roqueting peg. Mrs W, I. Limbrick (Waipawa); trailing, Mrs J- Butler; progressive croquet. Mrs W. T. Limbrick, runner up, Mrs L. Renner. VISIT TO SANATORIUM. The members of the Waipukurau branch of the Red Cross visited the Sanatorium- yesterday afternoon, taking a supply of cakes, fruit and flowers. A very pleasant afternoon was spent with the patients, the visit ers being afterwards entertained at afternoon tea by the matron. Those who contributed, towards the afternoon were Mesdames F. Hopkinson, H. De Lacy, W. Jeniieson, D. Mills, Bromwell, J. Render, F. McRoberts. W. R. Hutchison, A. Timms, M. Davie*, Mime Burdett and Spencer,
