Harbour Board’s Grant By Telegraph—Press AssociationCHRISTCHURCH, Muy 2. The Lyttelton Harbour Board decided to-day to give £lOOO for the relief of distress in the city and surrounding districts this winter. The grant, which is the same amount as that given by the board last year, will be divided into two sections of £5OO each. One will go to a fund being raised by the Canterbury Progress League, and the other amount will be distributed in districts in the board’s representation area as decided by a special committee of the board.
