THE WAIPUKURAU CLUB OPENING OF SEASON From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU April 8. The Waipukurau Goli Club opened its season on the Maharakeke links yesterday afternoon, when there was a good attendance of members and also visitors from the Mt. Herbert and Takapau clubs. The weather was beautiful. and although rain is badly needed, the links were in good order, which reflects groat credit on the caretaker. A mixed Canadian four-ball was played, some good cards being handed in. The afternoon was a most enjoyable one, and judging by the enthusiasm shown, the 193-1 season promises to be a most successful one The following were some of the best cards handed in Mr and Mrs B Boys — 81 gross, 23 handicap, 58 net Miss I Butler and Mr Keir 92 2, 65 Mrs W.
