MANITOBA WHEAT CONTROL
Legislature Passes Bill WINNIPEG, April 6. The Wheat Control Bill was given the third reading by the Manitoba Legislature. The Opposition leader, Mr W. Sandford Evans, stated that he would not oppose it because Canada had already been committed. He hoped that the 1934 crop would not reach 385,000,000 bushels, so that the consequences of the bill might be avoided. The Premier, Mr Bracken, declared that the significance of the bill was the realisation that the serious wheat problem could be remedied by co-opera-tion.
