Round of Auckland Engagements By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, April 8. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, had a busy week-end. On Saturday morning he paid an official visit to 11.M.5. Laburnum. Lord Blcdisloe addressed the ship’s company, which is shortly returning to England. Early in he afternoon Lord Blcdisloe opened the Blue Cross Hospital for strayed animals at Penrose. He then went to Middleinore and presented the Kirk-Windeyer Cup to the winning New Zealand team. His Excellency said he was pleased to welcome Appcrly, the’New South Wales captain, because, like himself, he came from Gloucestershire. This afternoon His Excellency attended the ceremony of the conseeralion of the colours of the ‘.ld Contcmptibles’ Association performed hv the Primate, and afterwards inspected the survivors of Mons.
