DONUM WINS KAPUNI HANDICAP HAWERA, April 2. The Hawera Trotting Club’s annual meeting concluded to-day before a good attendance in ideal weather. The track was in fine order. The totalisator handled £7678, an increase of £2128 10/- compared with the second day last year. The increase for both days totalled £3765. A protest was entered after the running of the Stewards’ Handicap on the grounds that Iron Man had interfered with Guy Zolock. The protest was not sustained. Results:—.
