Americans Issue Challenge CRAWFORD OR PERRY (Received 20, 10.10 a.m.) PHILADELPHIA, March 19. W. T. Tilden said that he and Ellsworth Vines would issue a challenge to Perry and Crawford to meet them in a singles match this season to settle the world’s supremacy. He would play Perry or Crawford on any of four conditions—with' no admission charged; with paid admission, the receipts to go to charity; for a side bet of 5000 dollars each; or for no money at all. Both professionals stated that they had been forced into challenging by the decision of the international federation to refuse permission for open tournaments.
