PURCHASE OF SILVER
Authorised by U.S. House PAYMENT IN EXPORTS (Received 20, 10.55 a.m.) WASHINGTON, March 19 The United States House of Representatives to-day passed a bill for the purchase of silver abroad at 25 per cent above the world price, provided it is exchanged for United States agricultural exports.
