Thursday’s Festivities A JOYFUL OUTING The announcement that members of the J. C. Williamson musical comedy company will run two of the chief side-shows at the Hastings Gymkhana on Thursday, and after the play will attend the dance in the Racecourse Kiosk, has created a great deal of interest. These great fun-makers have some surprises in store, and will alone be worth going to see and hear. Tn connection with the flower stall and floral display, the committee have arranged competitions for the best old English posy and the best buttonhole made by adults, and the best buttonhole made by children. Other competitions for which post entries may be made at the -acecourse are the horse events, all games and competitions. Highland dancing, the mongrel dog show, the leg show, and tlie'hab.v show. There will he prizes for rill events, and admission will ho 6d lor adults and gratis for children. Further information may be had bv ringing telephone 3475. The public are promised an afternoon of excellent fun, and at the same time an opportunity of assisting the fund* of the Hawke’s Ray Children’s Homo.
