MARKET REPORT
Messrs. Harvey, Fulton and Hill, auctioneers, Hastings, report: We had another successful sale of poultrv, fruit and vegetables on Saturday last. We had good entries and sold to a large attendance of the public. Poultry: The pena were well filled and bidding was very spirited especially for table birds. Prices were as follows: —Table birds, 1/- to 3/3; 8.0. hens, 1/8 to 2/2; 8.0. cockerels, 1/5 to 2/6; 80. pullets, 3/- each; W. L. hens. 1/- to 1/8; Muscovev ducks, 2/- to 2/8; mallard ducks, 2/-; W.P. ducks, 2/2. Fruit and Vegetables: Tomatoes. !/- to 1/6 case; potatoes, 2/2 to 2/6 bag: onions. Id to Id lb.; kumeras, 2d to !!d lb.; eschalots, Id to lid lb.; peanuts. 2d lb.; lemons. Cd to Pd doz.: lettuce, Id each; pumpkins, 2d to 6d each; marrows, 2d each; swes, Id to 2d each; passion fruit, »d doz ; quinces. Id to lid lb.; carrots and parsnips, Id bundle: blackberries, 3d to 4d lb.; cabbages, 2d to 8d each; citron melons, 3d; watermelons, 6d to 1/- each.
