SWORDFISH OFF GISBORNE
First Catch So Far Recorded By Telegraph—Press Association, GISBORNE, March 18. While a local fisherman, Mr Keith Walters, was engaged in operations a few miles off Gisborne on Saturday he landed a swordfish weighing '3lO pounds. The fish put up a magnificent fight. It was 48 inches round the girth and ten feet from the tip of the sword to the tail. This is the first swordfish caught off Gisborne.
