HACK CUP TO WALTON PARK, COPYIST WINS SPRINT. WELLINGTON, March 18. The Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting concluded at Trentham in fine warm weather. The track was firm and fast and the attendance large. The tote for the day was £33,743 compared with £34,671 10/-. The total for the meeting was £58,054 10/-, compared with £63,665 10/-, a decrease of £5,611. Won by half a head, third a length back. Whetuma was fourth. Time,l.lo. Royal Amphora and Cherry Queen were always in front and fought out a keen finish, Royal Amphora doing a little better over the final stages. SUBURBAN HANDICAP Of £300; 6 furlongs. 2/2 COPYIST (A. H. Copyist was prominent always and drew away u the straight to win easily. Won by a length, third a head back. Pomp was fourth. Time, 1.38 1-4. Ranelagh was slow away but, moving up handy when entering the straight, had the race won over the last furlong.
