HIGH SCHOOL CRICKET

HASTINGS V. OANNEVIRKE THREE INNINGS PLAYED A cricket match between the first elevens of the Hastings and Dannevirke High Schools was commenced at Danneviriis yesterday in fine weather. Dannevirke batted twice during the day and made 113 and 90 in their respective innings. Bowling for Hast ings in the first innings, Garnett took four wickets for 45 runs, Eves two for 25 and Mullinder (i) two for 23; and in the second innings de Deune took five lor 17, Eves three for 28 and Mullinder two for 18. Hastings in their first innings made 60, of which Eves contributed 20 and de Deune 14. The match will he concluded to-day. WEEK-END MATCH. I.l'he tollowing will represent the Grand XI. against the Turfites at the week-end: Moore. Bishop, Geake Geddis, Milkins, Bainbridge. Turrell Taylor, Te Where, Joseph Graham.
