i Henry S. Fitter’s Report Henry S. Fitter and Sons, Ltd., through their New Zealand representative. Mr R. L. Bennett, advise that the position of the London meat market at March 15 was as follow:—N.Z. lams, 2’s 7Jd to 7Jd, B’s 6|d to 7d, 4’s 6 5-8 d to 6 7-8 d; secondary lambs, 6 7-8 d to 7 l-8d; N.Z. mutton, small 5 l-8d to 5 5-Sd, large 4Jd to sd; N.Z. ewes, small 4 l-8d to 4 3-Bd, large 3 l-8d to to 3 7-8 d; N.Z. beef, ox hinds 3d to'3id, fores 2d to 2Jd; Argentine chilled ox hinds 4d to 41d, fores 3sd to 3J; N.Z. pork, 5Jd to sfd; Australian lambs, 6}d to 6Jd; Argentine lambs, 6d to fljd. Lambs: There is a fair demand; the market is inclined to become firmer. Wethers: The market is dull with a downward tendency. Ewes: The demand is moderate with prices a little lower. Beef: The demand is affected by low prices of chilled beef. Pork: The reduction in prices has improved the demand. Trade generally is affected by heavy supplies of Argentine meat.
