TECHNICAL OB’s REPORT REVIEW OF LAST YEAR. SUCCESSFUL SEASON EXPERIENCED. A resume of the activities of the Napier Technical Old Boys’ Football Club during the past year is contained in the annual report, to be submitted to the annual general meeting to-mor-row evening The report reads as follows: — “The club had five teams in the field, ono team piuying iu the third grade competition under the name of Tech. Colts. Two school teams, one from the Westshore-Eskview schools combined, playing in the sixth grade, and one team from Nelson Park School, playing in the seventh grade, were also under the club’s control for Saturday competitions. “The club won the Black and White Shield, the Lane Cup, third, feurtli, sixth and seventh grade championships, the Fraser Cup and was runnerup in the junior grade championship. “Senior.—We wish to congratulate this team on their success at the latter end of the season, in winning the Lane Cup. The performances iu the club championship series did not come up to the previous season’s standard, and in various matches left a lot to be desired. This team again lacked training enthusiasm. The team was coached by Mr P. lharker, J. P. Swain, and the club captain. “Junior.—This team was successful in winning the Napier section of the H.B.R.U. junior grade championship. They were unsuccessful in retaining the junior cup won by the previous season’s junior team. Their performance in their final game failed to come up to expectations. Congratulations are extended to the team and coach, Mr S. Sidet, for the fine team spirit shown throughout the season. “Thirds. —This team was successful in annexing the H.B.R.U. third grade championship. As in previous years, training was taken very seriously by this team, and their success is large! duo to this fact. Congratulations are extended to the team on the fine club and team spirit, shown on all occasions. Mr W. D. Boyle was their coach' THE TECH. COLTS. “This team was formed for the purpose of catering for the large number of third grade players offering. The H.B.R.U. rules allow for one team in each grade only from each club. Tho team was entered under the abovementioned name, and wore all grey jerseys, but were controlled by N.T.0.8. management committee. From a matchwinning point of view they were not very successful. Mr Mosley and Mr Elmes, their coaches, are to be congratulated on the manner in which they held the team together througnoui the season. “Fourths. —This team was again successful in winning the H.B.R.U. fourth grade championship. With the exception of one or two players this was an entirely new team who joined the club for tho first year. They were ably coached by Messrs I. Campbell and D. Boyd. “Sixth grade (Westshore-Eskview) and seventh grade (Nelson Park). — These teams were allotted by the H. 8.R.U. for control by the club for the schools’ Saturday afternoon competition, and each team won their respective grade championship. “Tho practice nights during the season were well attended by the lower grade teams, but the same cannot be said of the seniors. It is to be hoped that a more serious view of practice will be taken by the seniors during the coming season, both from an individual and a club point of view. “We wish to extend congratulations to those members of the club who obtained representative honours:—Senior, TV. Johnson, E. Evans, J. Setford, K. Skitrupp. D. Dalton, R. Johnson, 1. Riddell; juniors, G. Brown, I. Venable's, R. Peterson, C. Campbell; thirds, F. McLean, J. Watts, P. McCashin, N. MeAuslin, P.
