The annual meeting of the Havelock North Football Club will be held in the Town Board Hall on Wednesday, March 14, at 7.30 p.m. In connection with the polo tournament to be held on the polo grounds in Omahu road, commencing this afternoon and continuing on Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m., the price of admission is 1/- (not 3/-); season ticket 2/-. The annual meeting of the H.B. Radio Society is to be held in th» Chamber of Commerce rooms, Queen street, Hastings, to-morrow at 8 p.m. Several important matters such as interference, “B” station problems and other matters are to be discussed and an appeal is made to listeners to make a point of attending this meeting. The Railway Department announces the running of a week-end excursion to Ngaruawahia and Auckland, leaving Wellington on Friday evening, and returning on the Sunday afternoon, with fares at about half ordinary rate.
